Renié’s Influential Legacy in Harp Music
2025 marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of harpist, teacher and composer Henriette Renié. To celebrate, Alexander Rider and Jerry Monks have collaborated to produce this website. Throughout the year Alex will be giving concerts of Renié’s music and lectures about her life (see events page for details). Jerry will be sharing his extensive collection of harps and harp memorabilia, including a harp owned by Renié, as well as portraits, photos and letters. This site will eventually become a permanent resource in tribute to the great lady.
